Thinking about transitioning your farm to organic production? Join Marbleseed and Purdue University Extension for Organic University, a full day of learning and networking designed to guide farmers on using organic practices and the key steps on transitioning to organic.
This event will cover the essentials of transitioning to organic including how to set up your production systems for success, develop and maintain the necessary records, and build marketing strategies that connect your products to the right markets. Participants will hear directly from organic experts, farmers who have successfully implemented organic practices, and certification specialists.
Lunch will be provided and the afternoon will include breakout groups into specialty crops & vegetables and grain & field crops for a deep dive into the specifics of those production types. There will be ample time for networking, asking questions and hands-on learning throughout the day.
