A training called New Farmer U will have a spring workshop to boost farmers’ business skills on Saturday, April. 12th from 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 13th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The workshop will take place on the newly build Market on the River building, which serve as the new headquarters of the Wisconsin Farmers Union (128 W River St, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729).
Featured speakers include Compeer Financial’s Senior Lending Officer, Paul Dietmann and the Food Finance Institute’s Farm Program Manager, Andrew Larson. This will be a unique opportunity for farmers to receive in-depth consulting in the areas of farm financials and your farm’s organizational health. Additional speakers will train the group on getting your farm’s story noticed, putting together a compelling marketing plan to sell your products, farmer mental health resources, and legal support for farmers in need. This is an intensive training to help farmers get new ideas to succeed!

A travel and lodging stipends are available to help farmers attend this training.
