This field day will highlight the journey of Naima’s Farm from the beginning to current transition. Naima Dhore is among the first organic-certified Somali women farmers in Minnesota. Both Naima and her husband will share the challenges they both experienced with land access as an immigrant farmer and share more about their expanding farm business. The day will also include a tour of their organic vegetable production fields.

Naima & Fagas are former graduates of the Big River Farm and completed 3 years vegetable farm operation as part of the incubator farm training program. Naima and Fagas are passionate about growing clean and fresh produce locally that is accessible to all, but more importantly focusing on soil health and specialty crop.
